Closet edits
Most people own more than they think and wear less than they want to. A closet edit fixes that before you spend a dollar.
Your closet is not a storage problem. It is a decision problem. Every morning you stand in front of a full rail and feel like you have nothing, because most of what is hanging there belongs to a version of you that has moved on, and the pieces that do work are buried behind the ones that do not.
So we start here, in your actual closet, with your actual clothes. Not in a store.
What we do together
I come to you, anywhere in Minneapolis, Saint Paul or the surrounding metro, and we go through all of it. Every piece gets a decision, and I make the hard calls with you so you are not doing it alone at eleven at night with a garbage bag.
Three piles, no guilt attached to any of them. What stays because it fits the person you are now. What goes, whether that means donating, selling or handing it to a friend who will love it. And the maybe pile, which is where the interesting conversation actually happens, because that is where the guilt lives.
Then we put the closet back together so you can see what you own. Grouped the way you get dressed, not the way a magazine says to organize. Once that is done, I build you real outfits from what survived, and we photograph them so you have them on your phone on the mornings your brain is not cooperating.
What you walk away with
A closet where everything in it fits, suits you and gets worn. A set of outfits you did not have to invent under pressure. And a short, specific list of the gaps worth filling, which is usually much smaller than people expect. Most closets are not missing much. They are just carrying too much.
If you want, that list becomes the starting point for personal shopping, but plenty of clients stop here and are perfectly happy.
Who this is for
People going back to work, or leaving it. People whose body has changed, and who are tired of dressing for a size they are not. People who just moved, just had a baby, just got divorced, just got promoted. And people who simply have not looked at their own closet with fresh eyes in a decade.
Your disheveled closet is my happy place. There is nothing in there that will shock me.
Common questions
How long does a closet edit take?
Usually three to four hours, depending on how much is in there. I would rather do it properly once than rush and leave you with half a decision.
Do I have to get rid of things?
No. You make every final call. My job is to be honest about what is earning its space, and to make it easier to let go of the things you already know you are never wearing again.
Do I need to buy anything afterward?
Not necessarily. The whole point of starting in your closet is that it usually turns out you own more than you thought. If there are genuine gaps, I will tell you exactly what they are.
Can we do this virtually?
Yes. Virtual styling covers the same ground over video, and it works better than people expect.
